DHANIA FISH


  • Ingredients


Fish(fillets)             - 4 nos
Coriander powder - 1/4 cup
Red chilly powder  - 2 tbsp
Garlc paste            - 3 tbsp
Lime juice              - 2 tbsp
Vegetable oil          - 4 tbsp
Salt                        - needed

  • Preparation method


Marinate washed fish fillets with lemon juice and salt for 2 hours.Place the fish in a baking dish coating it with oil.Mix rest of the ingredients with tiny bit of salt and coat this on the fish.Cover the baking dish with foil with a little hole in the corner.Bake at 350 °F for about 35 minutes or until done.The time to bake actually depends on the kind of fish you are using. So check every twenty minutes or so.After the fish is about cooked, use a brush to re-coat the thick mixture lying at the bottom of the dish on to it.Broil uncovered for 5 mins before serving.

FISH MASALA


  • Ingredients


Fish                              -500 gm
(cleaned and cut into medium pieces)
Turmeric powder         -1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder       -1tsp
Lemon juice                -1tbsp
Onion                         -2 nos
(chopped finely)
Tomato                       -1
(chopped finely)
Tomato pulp               -1/2 cup
Ginger paste               -1 tsp
Garlic paste                -1tsp
Turmeric powder        -1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder      -1 tsp
Cumin powder           -1tsp
Coriander powder      - 1tsp
Garam masala powder -1tsp
Oil                             -3tbsp
Salt                          -needed
Curry leaves            -few

  • Preparation method


Marinate the fish with turmeric powder, chilly powder and lime juice for 1/2 hr.Deep fry the fish till half cooked. Heat oil in another pan.Fry onion till golden brown.Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 mins.Add tomatoes and saute for 3 mins.Add pulp and all the powders and salt.Cook till oil separates.Add 1 cup of water.Add fish and cook till fish is done.Don`t overcook the fish.Garnish with curry leaves. Serve hot with rotis, chapattis, rice.
:- If needed, little tamarind pulp and coconut milk can be added. But the gravy has to be thick.
